RINA is currently recruiting for a Ports & Maritime Senior Project Manager to join its office in Genoa within the Maritime Infrastructure Engineering Project Management Division.
Mission
As a member of the Port and Marine Facility Business Line, you will be a key element for the success of our maritime projects by contributing to outcomes which exceed our clients’ expectations. You will primarily be involved in the achievement of timely, cost-effective and high-quality performances, based on the coordination of multi-disciplinary teams across maritime project life cycle, from technical and economic feasibility assessments, to detailed design and construction supervision. Additionally, you’ll support new business development initiatives, as well as tender submissions, to facilitate growth of the Ports Group within Rina Consulting. #LI-MB4
Key Accountabilities
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be part of the project management team for national and international port and marine facility project.
More in detail you will have to:
- Be responsible for the overall profit and loss results of single projects;
- Manage major contracts within the Business Line;
- Manage technical and contractual discussions with customers and suppliers;
- Apply advanced engineering work planning, scheduling and controlling, conduct independent Project Management duties;
- Coordinate the progress of the work assigned to engineers, designers, drafters and suppliers against a baseline, supporting the assessment of the relevant advancement, the prediction of deviation and of performances and the understanding of root causes, recovery actions and impact mitigations;
- Schedule and monitor work plans consistent with prime contract requirements, using advanced PM tools;
- Supervise archiving and quality check-outs on working files and deliverables;
- Gain a full proficiency with the Company management tools;
- Be responsible for the preparation of invoicing requests and in monitoring and reporting payments.
Education
Qualifications
- 8+ years of project engineering experience within a structured project setting, with exposure to cross-functional teamwork. In alternative 5 years of experience in project management role
- Working knowledge and sound technical understanding of the principles and practices of the maritime engineering disciplines and works are valuable and appreciated
- Professional project management certifications are highly desirable (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or similar). A certification in Agile (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) can also be beneficial
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Lean), with the ability to tailor approaches based on project requirements
- Advanced skills in manage schedules, resources, and budgets effectively
- In-depth understanding of project lifecycle management, including requirements gathering, risk management, quality control, and change management
- Proven experience in managing contracts, client management, and vendor relations;
- Fluency in Italian and English languages is madatory, knowledge of any other language will be considered as a plus

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).
The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €60,000 and €70,000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role.In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements. The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
