RINA is currently recruiting for a Ports & Maritime Project Engineer to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Infrastructure Division.

Mission

The Junior Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in the design, and technical oversight of engineering projects. This multifaceted position requires a thinker who can plan, schedule, and manage main technical aspects of assigned projects while ensuring accuracy and high-quality outcomes. The Junior Project Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, act as a member of the project team members.

Key Accountabilities

Project Execution and Technical Oversight:
-  Support to the Project Engineer, responsible for the production and the performance of assigned projects
-  Support to oversee all the technical aspects of engineering projects from initiation to completion.
-  Cooperation for monitoring technical deliverables, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
-  Support to Plan, schedule, and predict all technical tasks.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Provide day-to-day support to the Project Engineer and oversight of project elements, maintaining effective communication within the project group.
Client Relationship Management:
- Assist Project Manager  and Project Engineer in managing client relationships, addressing change orders, claims, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Technical Competency Development:.
- Collaborate with PE and operations management to facilitate coordination and execution of project work, minimizing operational impact.
Project Reporting and Documentation:
- Assist the Project Engineer in defining resources, assets, and tools for project execution.
- Support to PE for preparing comprehensive project reports to senior management.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting standards are maintained throughout projects.
Quality Management:
- Adhere to the Quality Policy and execute all activities in accordance with the RINA Quality Management System.
- Be conscious of the impact of your work on service delivery and contribute to QMS improvement based on your role.
Communication and Liaison:
- Support in smoothing communication within project team members.
- Relay important and relevant project information in an effective and timely manner, under PE coordination.

Education

Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering

Qualifications

  • From 0 to 1 year experience in coastal engineering.
  • Proficient in project design tools and software.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Solid understanding of FIDIC standards.
  • Proficient in English Language
