RINA is currently recruiting for a Marine Product Manager to join its office in Genoa within the Marine Digital Solutions Division.

Mission

The Product Manager will lead the strategic development, delivery, and lifecycle management of a digital solution designed to support maritime clients in achieving decarbonisation goals through emissions data validation, regulatory compliance, and operational optimisation. 
This role requires a deep understanding of maritime emissions regulations (e.g. EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime, IMO DCS, CII), strong stakeholder coordination skills, and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable product features. #LI-GZ1

Key Accountabilities

Product Ownership & Strategy

- Define and maintain the product roadmap in alignment with regulatory timelines and client needs.

- Translate evolving regulatory frameworks into product features and compliance tools.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding product functionality and compliance scope.

Regulatory Intelligence & Implementation

- Monitor and interpret maritime emissions regulations (EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime, IMO DCS, CII) and ensure timely integration into the platform.

- Collaborate with Plan Approval Centres and regulatory experts to validate compliance logic and reporting formats.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Coordinate with development teams, plan approval engineers, and customers to ensure smooth feature delivery and issue resolution.

- Act as liaison between technical teams and clients to gather feedback, clarify requirements, and ensure user satisfaction.

Product Delivery & Quality Assurance

- Oversee testing cycles, including validation of emissions statements and data quality checks.

- Ensure timely deployment of new features and fixes, particularly those affecting regulatory reporting.

Client Enablement & Support

- Support onboarding of new clients, including configuration of vessels, user roles, and data templates.

- Provide training materials, webinars, and documentation to facilitate adoption and correct usage.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General or Naval Engineering
Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering

Qualifications

- Proven experience in product management, preferably in maritime software or regulatory compliance tools.

- Strong knowledge of maritime emissions regulations and reporting schemes (EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime, IMO DCS, CII).

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Fluent in English; Italian is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience working with digital platforms for emissions monitoring or fleet performance.

- Familiarity with API integrations and data validation engines.

- Ability to manage cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
