RINA is currently recruiting for a Marine Flag States Compliance Junior Engineer to join its office in Genoa within the Marine Compliance, Classification & Statutory Certification Division.
Mission
As a Marine Flag States Compliance Junior Engineer at RINA Services S.p.A., you will play a role in enhancing the development, maintenance, and compliance of tools used for the classification and certification processes for maritime assets. Your contribution will involve collaborating with subject matter experts, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing technical issues, supporting marine operations, and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include development and use of digital queries on application, systems and databases, preparation of agreements with Flag State Administrations, update of tools such as country files, creation of checklists, forms, instructions, and working instruments for the Operational Network. You will also participate in external audits, and contribute to various compliance-related activities. #LI-GZ1

- Rules Maintenance and Revision:
Assist Senior Engineers in maintaining and revising internal rules and manuals governing classification and certification processes. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and standards in classification and certification procedures. Regularly review and enhance existing rules, staying updated with international regulations and industry standards. - Collaboration:
Work closely with subject matter experts, engineers, and stakeholders to address technical challenges and ensure alignment with industry best practices. - Technical Issue Management:
Through use of digital tools, identify and resolve technical issues related to classification and certification processes, providing timely necessary data/information for effective solutions - Support for Marine Operations OUs:
Provide technical support to marine operations teams regarding classification and certification requirements and procedures. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate documentation of classification and certification processes, procedures, and outcomes. - Continuous Improvement:
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance in classification and certification processes.
Education
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in english language spoken and written
- Proficiency in digital/IT application (excel, power BI, SQL, etc)
- Basic knowledge of marine systems, ship operations, and maritime regulations.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify performance trends.
