RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Sustainability Consultant to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division.
Mission
A Junior Sustainability Consultant in the field of sustainability and circularity assessment typically plays a supporting role in various activities related to environmental and social responsibility.
Key Accountabilities
1. Sustainability and Circularity Assessment:
- Assist in conducting assessments to evaluate the environmental, social, and economic impacts of products, processes, or systems.
- Contribute to the analysis of sustainability and circularity aspects and identify potential areas for improvement.
2. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Modeling:
- Support the development and implementation of Life Cycle Assessment models under the guidance of senior consultants.
- Assist in collecting and analyzing data relevant to LCA models.
3. Preparation of Written Documents:
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports on sustainability-related topics, including Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Life Cycle Costing (LCC), Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA), and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions.
- Assist in compiling comprehensive and well-documented reports based on guidelines provided by senior consultants.
4. Part of Sustainability Report:
- Collaborate with team members to provide data and insights for the development of overall sustainability reports.
- Support the coordination and integration of sustainability information into larger reports.
5. Calculations and Data Analysis:
- Perform calculations related to environmental, economic, and social metrics under the guidance of senior consultants.
- Assist in the analysis of data to derive meaningful insights and trends.
6. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Participate in engagements with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and contribute to stakeholder communications.
- Support the development of communication materials related to sustainability initiatives.
7. Compliance and Standards:
- Stay informed about relevant sustainability standards, regulations, and certifications.
- Ensure that assessments and reports align with established industry standards.
8. Learning and Development:
- Actively engage in learning opportunities to enhance knowledge of sustainability principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Seek guidance from senior consultants to build expertise in the field.
9. Assistance in Continuous Improvement:
- Assist in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in sustainability practices.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance sustainability performance within the organization.
10. Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with team members.
- Provide regular updates on progress and raise any issues or challenges encountered.
