RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior R&D Project Manager Energy Digital Innovation (MATERNITY COVER) to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Energy Research, Development and Innovation Division.
Mission
Are you a recent COMPUTER SCIENCE graduate eager to start a career in European project management? We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to support our team in the day-to-day coordination of Research and Development (R&D) projects funded by the European Union. You will have the opportunity to learn on the job, contribute to real projects, and gain valuable experience in planning, monitoring, and reporting activities in an international environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Contributing to the development of digital tools for consulting and engineering services.
- Supporting the software development team in the interaction with partners and clients.
- Design innovative software solutions to solve customer problems.
- Project Planning Support: Assist Project Managers in drafting project plans, schedules, and documentation; Join coordination meetings and take minutes to support internal and external communication.
- Administrative and Documentation Support: Help prepare and organize project documentation required by EU funding programs (e.g., Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, LIFE); Maintain and update records, reports, deliverables, and supporting materials.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Support project tracking activities to monitor progress against timelines and objectives; Contribute to the collection and organization of data for technical and financial reports
- Communication and Operational Support: Liaise with project partners to collect updates and share relevant information; Help organize meetings, workshops, events, and dissemination activities.
- Quality and Risk Management (in support): Assist in reviewing deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency; Flag potential issues and support the team in identifying solutions.
Education
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields.
- PHD will be considered as a plus.

Genuine interest in EU projects, research, and innovation.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

Good command of English (B2 level or above).

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and Excel.

Basic knowledge of EU funding programs (e.g., Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, etc.) is a plus. #LI-MT3
