RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Naval Architect and Offshore Engineer to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Energy Engineering Solutions Division.

Mission

Within RINA Consulting Energy Business Unit, we are looking for a Junior Naval Architect & Offshore Engineer to join the established correspondent Operational Unit named "Floaters" which is dealing with offshore projects in several market sectors like Oil and Gas, Renewables and Maritime.

We are selecting a highly motivated young engineer who would like to join a dynamic team based in Genova, willing to develop technical, managerial and soft skills competencies.

Key Accountabilities

Development of engineering studies and analyses relevant to design, consultancy and third party verification activities for vessels, floating structures and floating terminals; - Engineering Activities and Calculation by means of dedicated software (FEM, Hydrodynamics), according to the main current codes and standards for floating structures, mooring systems , and for offshore design and marine operations in general; - Review and analysis of engineering documents; verification of compliance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards; design appraisal and certification; - Carrying out design and engineering consulting activities at different level (feasibility studies, concept selection, basic design, detail design, FEED, cost estimation) relevant to onshore and offshore projects; - Dealing with specialist engineering studies, gap-analysis and design activities in collaboration with other specialists and subcontractors; - Cooperating in the preparation of technical papers, rules and guidelines; - Supporting the activities as member of the project team; - Reporting and summarizing the assigned projects; - Cooperate in drawing up technical-commercial proposals; - Handling relationship with clients also through meetings at their premises or developing activities at their premises.

Education

Master’s Degree in Naval Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Experience and Requirements

Bachelor or Master's Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering, or equivalent Diploma;

Having a previous professional experience in offshore projects or research programs would be a strong plus;

Technical understanding and basic familiarity with Class Rules, International Conventions and Standards and client’s standard concerning offshore projects (such as FPSO, FSRUs, FLNGs, FSUs, CNG carriers, fixed platforms, Renewables Offshore Systems);

Availability to travel in Italy and abroad for short-medium periods depending on projects needs;

Problem solving attitude;

Good communication skills Ability to manage conflicts and to negotiate, both with Colleagues and Clients;

Proactive customer focused approach Advanced knowledge and use of the PC and the mostly used commercial software;

Good knowledge of both spoken and written technical English. #LI-AU5
