RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Consultant - Sustainable Financing Schemes to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division.​

Mission

Contribute to the design, implementation and monitoring of sustainable financing schemes by supporting programme structuring, reporting and stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring quality, consistency and alignment with donor and institutional requirements. The role focuses  on programme performance, donor compliance and financial structuring.

The successful candidate will join a team specialized in the management and monitoring of financial schemes supporting sustainability and development projects, implemented in collaboration with financial institutions and international funding organizations.

The role involves overseeing the collection and analysis of project-related data, monitoring the progress of funded initiatives, tracking the allocation and utilization of funds across different investment categories, and preparing reporting packages for funding and investment institutions. The position requires regular interaction with a wide range of stakeholders, including commercial banks, end clients, consultants, contractors, and other project participants.   #LI-MT3

Key Accountabilities

Programme Design & Structuring Support
-Contribute to the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks, KPIs and data collection tools
-Support the definition of programme objectives, eligibility criteria and operational procedures
-Assist in integrating sustainability aspects (e.g. ESG, social inclusion) into programme design
Programme Implementation & Delivery
-Support the implementation of programmes, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and timelines
-Contribute to coordination activities with financial institutions and project stakeholders
-Assist in portfolio monitoring, pipeline analysis and identification of implementation issues
Monitoring, Reporting & Data Management
-Collect, validate and analyse programme data (disbursements, indicators, beneficiaries)
-Support the preparation of reports (progress, interim, final) in line with donor requirements
-Ensure data quality and consistency across reporting activities
Stakeholder & Client Support
-Support stakeholder engagement on programme implementation, reporting and performance tracking
-Participate in meetings and provide analytical input
-Contribute to maintaining effective working relationships
Business Development Support
-Contribute to the preparation of proposals (methodology, workplan inputs, data analysis)
-Support market research and identification of opportunities in sustainable finance
-Assist in preparing content for client engagement and positioning
Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
-Work closely with senior consultants and multidisciplinary teams
-Provide support to junior resources on specific analytical or reporting tasks
-Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of tools and approaches

Education

Master’s Degree in Economics or Management Engineering
Other

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in Programme support / monitoring & evaluation, Donor reporting or financial analysis and Sustainable finance / development programmes
  • Basic familiarity with Monitoring & Evaluation methodologies and KPI frameworks, Financial analysis and programme performance tracking and Donor reporting standards and requirements
  • Familiarity with Data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, BI tools)
  • Basic familiarity with:ESG frameworks, climate finance, impact assessment
  • very good level of Italian and English (both spoken and written): will be used on a daily basis

Compensation Data

The salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).

The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €30.000 and €33.000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role. In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements.The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
