RINA is currently recruiting for a Italy Marine Consulting Junior Project Manager to join its office in Genova, Italy within the Marine Consulting Division.
Mission
The Junior Project Manager is responsible and accountable for executing naval projects, ensuring completion of deliverables within the defined deadlines, scope, and budget. The Junior Project Manager stands at the center of a complex set of relationships among the client, RINA, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors who deliver the elements of the project. The skill of balancing the demands and expectations of these groups lies at the heart of a successful project. Key Accountabilities
• Manage multiple naval projects and clients concurrently;
• Ensure client satisfaction;
• Coordinate and strategize assignments for the management of the assigned naval projects;
• Generate and distribute documents and instructions for naval project execution, from planning to invoicing of services;
• Organize and manage the workload and schedules of field/technical personnel, ensuring comprehension and fulfillment of assignment requirements;
• Support senior Project Manager/field/technical personnel in carrying out their designated tasks;
• Assess the performance of field/technical personnel;
• Ensure accurate data entry into RINA systems adhering to established procedures;
• Uphold compliance with the RINA QHSE Management Systems throughout all assigned activities;
• Monitor naval project revenues and profitability;
• Collaborate with the Naval Business Development department in commercial activities;
• Schedule and participate in meetings, both kick-off and periodic, with clients.
Qualifications

1+ years of experience in the marine / shipping sector

1+ years of experience managing a team of people on projects of moderate size/complexity and/or multiple projects simultaneously with a solid track record of successfully leading projects from initiation to completion on time, on budget, and within scope, including resource management across disciplines

Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

Engineering Knowledge:
-
Proficiency understanding of engineering concepts and calculations.

Ability to collaborate with engineers and technical experts.

Ensure accurate incorporation of engineering calculations into project plans

Team Management:

Proven experience in assembling and leading project teams.

Demonstrated ability to assign tasks based on team members' skills, motivate the team, and manage them effectively.

Software Skills:

Proficiency in project management tools and software.

Familiarity with engineering software is a plus.

Having prior experience in the following areas will be beneficial during the selection process:
• Supervising of newbuilding projects
