RINA is currently recruiting for a Internship - Sustainable Buildings Engineering to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Civil Engineering Division.

Mission

The position entails supporting the sustainability team in various activities, including CAM verifications and tasks related to green building certifications such as LEED and BREEAM. Additional responsibilities include conducting LCA/LCC analysis and providing sustainability and energy efficiency guidelines for diverse project types (buildings, infrastructures, research) under the supervision of a senior engineer or managing engineer.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support energy efficiency and sustainability assessments
  • Support the identification and the development of solutions to improve sustainability in projects
  • Integration within a multidisciplinary team with different expertise providing direct or indirect support to engineering teams
  • Learn about relevant regulations, codes and standards related to energy efficiency and sustainability
  • Improve the knowledge on sustainability and energy efficiency in buildings, urban development and infrastructures
  • Working in an international or cross-cultural environment
  • Improve or begin the knowledge of tools and software with support from the tutors
  • Achieve the capability of writing sections of reports both in English and Italian
  • Building physics basic knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of tool for energy modelling and LCA is appreciated

Education

Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
