RINA is currently recruiting for a Internship - Experience Designer to join its office in Genova within the Digital Technology and Cybersecurity Division.
Mission
As a UX-UI Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn how digital experiences are created and improved with a user-centred approach. Under the guidance of senior designers, you will support ongoing activities, contribute to small tasks in UX/UI projects, and be introduced to service design thinking, gaining first-hand experience on how to shape coherent, end-to-end user journeys that connect business goals with customer needs.
Key Accountabilities
Design Execution

Support the design of intuitive, visually engaging, and accessible interfaces for web and mobile under supervision.

Learn to produce wireframes, low- to mid-fidelity prototypes, and UI assets in Figma, following existing design-system guidelines.
User Research

Assist in the preparation and observation of user interviews, surveys, and usability tests.

Help document and synthesise research findings with senior guidance.
Design Strategy

Join workshops to understand business goals and product vision.

Support activities that align design work with project priorities and scope.
Learning & Growth

Actively seek feedback and mentoring from experienced designers.

Participate in design reviews and practice applying constructive critique.
Design System Use

Re-use and adapt existing components within the design system with support from the design team.
Stakeholder Communication

Prepare simple design artefacts (e.g., screens, basic prototypes, research summaries) for internal sharing.

Learn how to present design decisions and respond to feedback constructively.
Qualifications

Qualification
•0–2 years of experience in UX/UI design (internships, academic projects, or freelance).
•Working knowledge of Figma (or similar design/prototyping tools).
•Basic understanding of user-centred design, accessibility, and information architecture.
•Good written and verbal communication skills.
