We are currently recruiting for a Internship - BIM Technician Infrastructure Categorie protette 68/99 to join our office in Genoa within the Civil Engineering Division.​

Mission

The role is focuses on creating and managing detailed Building Information Models to enhance project visualization, collaboration, and efficiency under the supervision of BIM Senior Technician. The role collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure accurate representation of project elements and adherence to BIM standards. 

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate, registered as a protected category under Italian Law 68/99, who is willing to develop technical, digital and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Key Accountabilities

1. BIM Model Development

Learn how to develop and manage 3D BIM models using BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Civil3D) for infrastructure and hydraulic projects.

Gain practical exposure to the representation of roads, hydraulic systems, utilities and related infrastructure elements within BIM environments.

Develop an understanding of BIM modelling principles and information management approaches.

2. Visualization and Analysis

Gain experience in creating 3D visualizations and simulations to support project understanding and technical analysis.

Develop knowledge of BIM tools and their application in engineering design and coordination processes.

Learn how digital models can enhance project communication and decision-making.

3. Collaboration and Coordination

Learn through interaction with architects, engineers, project managers and BIM specialists.

Observe multidisciplinary coordination activities and collaborative engineering processes.

Develop effective communication and teamwork skills within technical environments.

4. Standards Compliance

Gain knowledge of BIM standards, protocols and project execution plans.

Learn how engineering information is managed and updated throughout project development.

Develop awareness of best practices adopted in BIM processes.

5. Data Integration

Explore how project information, schedules and technical data are incorporated into BIM models.

Gain understanding of digital information management methodologies.

Learn how BIM environments support project coordination and information sharing.

6. Quality Control

Participate in model review activities aimed at improving model accuracy, consistency and completeness.

Develop attention to detail through learning quality assurance principles applied to BIM modelling.

Gain experience in identifying and understanding model discrepancies and improvement opportunities.

7. Learning and Development

Receive guidance and mentoring from experienced BIM professionals.

Continuously expand technical knowledge related to BIM methodologies and infrastructure engineering.

Strengthen professional competencies through practical experience and knowledge sharing.

8. Documentation

Learn how BIM documentation is created, organized and maintained.

Gain familiarity with workflows, procedures and project documentation standards.

Contribute to the continuous development of technical knowledge repositories and project guidelines.

9. Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Explore emerging BIM technologies, tools and methodologies.

Develop awareness of innovation trends within digital engineering.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General or Architecture

Qualifications

Mandatory requirement: Registered as a protected category under Italian Law 68/99 (collocamento mirato)

Knowledge of industry-standard BIM software such as Autodesk Civil3D.

Interest in developing competencies in 3D BIM modelling for infrastructure projects.

Familiarity with 3D visualizations and simulations or willingness to learn these methodologies.

Strong motivation to expand technical knowledge in BIM and digital engineering.Eagerness to learn within a multidisciplinary engineering environment

Compensation Data

The internship is designed as a training and orientation experience and, as such, provides a monthly allowance in accordance with applicable regional regulations and Company policies.
