RINA is currently recruiting for a Internship - Accounts Payable Accountant to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the Mediterranean and Africa Finance Division.
Mission
The Accounts Payable Intern will support the Finance team in managing and processing vendor-related financial transactions. The internship aims to provide hands-on experience in accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and financial documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Key Accountabilities
Invoice Processing:
- Receive and review incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure proper authorization and receipt of goods or services.
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system for payment.
Vendor Management:
- Maintain relationships with vendors and address any inquiries or discrepancies regarding invoices.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues or discrepancies.
Recordkeeping and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Prepare and maintain reports related to accounts payable activities.
Month-end Reconciliation:
- Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger with the general ledger.
- Assist in month-end closing processes, providing necessary reports and documentation.
Education
Qualifications
- Familiarity with in Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle discrepancies in invoices and payments
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Fluency in Italian and an intermediate level of English are required
