RINA is currently recruiting for an IT Technical Support & Assets Specialist to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the Global IT Operations Division.

Mission

You will play a crucial role in maintaining digital workplace technologies, providing seamless end-user experiences, and troubleshooting IT issues related to workplace equipment such as laptops, smartphones, printers, and conference room technologies. Your responsibility will include ensuring efficient IT asset management, optimizing workplace equipment performance, enhancing security, and ensuring the availability of workplace technology solutions to boost productivity and efficiency.

Key Accountabilities

Reporting to the IT Technical Support & Assets Manager, your key accountabilities will revolve around maintaining the smooth functioning of digital workplace technologies, supporting end-users, and managing the IT infrastructure for both remote and in-office work. You will be responsible for operational tasks such as asset management processes, collaboration with the On-site Help Desk, managing relationships with the Service Desk for end-user support, and more.
 

  • Providing technical support for digital workplace equipment
  • Troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues for employees' workplace equipment
  • Assisting users with device setup, remote access, and multi-factor authentication
  • Monitoring and managing IT service tickets using ITSM tools
  • Resolving incidents and escalating complex issues
  • Supporting software installations, updates, and patch management
  • Assisting in identity and access management and password resets
  • Supporting endpoint security solutions
  • Ensuring compliance with IT security policies
  • Managing the inventory of IT assets
  • Performing lifecycle management of workplace equipment
  • Maintaining digital workplace infrastructure
  • Monitoring client system performance and application availability
  • Analyzing user feedback and reporting technical issues
  • Assisting in optimizing digital workplace tools

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
High School Diploma/GED

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of experience in IT technical support and asset management
  • Strong knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal is required
  • Experience with software license management, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, familiarity with IT security policies and patch management are essential
  • Certification in ITIL, CompTIA A+, or related certifications is a plus
  • Experience with IT asset management software, knowledge of network infrastructure, and administration, as well as familiarity with meeting room technology and audiovisual equipment are advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and interpersonal skills are also desired
  • Fluency in both Italian and English language is a mandatory requirement.
