RINA is currently recruiting for an IT System & Infrastructures Manager to join its office in Genoa or Rome (Italy) within the Global IT Operations Division.
Mission
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of RINA Global IT infrastructure and systems, from the design, implementation to optimization through the maintenance, that provides applications that enable business processes. This includes ensuring system performance, security, and availability while managing a team of IT professionals. The role involves working closely with different departments, vendors, and senior management to support the organization's technological needs and business objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT Systems.
- Ensure that the IT infrastructure is scalable, resilient, and meets current and future business requirements.
- Manage and monitor resources capacity, IT systems performances, reliability, and uptime, implementing measures to minimize downtime. - Systems Administration:
- Lead the administration and maintenance of key IT systems.
- Ensure that systems are backed up and recoverable in the event of a disaster according to the integrity and availability needs of provided services.
- Monitor and manage the security of IT systems. - Team Leadership & Vendor Management:
- Lead and manage a team of system administrators, network engineers, and IT support staff, providing mentorship, training, and performance management.
- Collaborate with external vendors for the procurement, installation, and support of IT infrastructure, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met. - Security & Compliance:
- Develop and enforce IT security policies and best practices to protect the organization’s data and IT assets.
- Ensure compliance with internal policy, relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and maintain proper documentation for audits. - Project Management:
- Lead IT infrastructure projects from conception through implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage cross-functional teams and resources to complete IT-related projects aligned with business goals.
- Oversee migration and upgrade projects such as cloud integration, virtualization, and system enhancements. - Budgeting & Cost Management:
- Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings through technology improvements and vendor management. - Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity:
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans to minimize the impact of system failures or data loss.
- Regularly test DR plans and ensure that backups are consistently available and reliable. - Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices to enhance infrastructure efficiency and reliability.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements in IT infrastructure and systems.
Education
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT operations, preferably in a similar role.
- A deep knowledge of IT operations domains, such as servers, networks, databases, applications, and cloud services, and their management and administration.
- Good Knowledge of Cloud, Multi Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure.
- Proficient knowledge of Azure environment, and its services, tools, and platforms, such as Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, and Azure Active Directory.
- Good knowledge of enterprise applications landscapes, such as ERP, CRM, BI, ETL and IPaaS, and their configuration, and integration.
- Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) and their configuration, and integration.
- A solid knowledge of IT operations tools and methodologies, such as ITIL, ITSM, ITOM, ISO27001, and their implementation and application.
- Italian and English C1 or higher.
