RINA is currently recruiting for a Head of Fleet Performance & Port State Control to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Marine Compliance, Classification & Statutory Certification Division.

Mission

 To assure, within his own scope of work and competencies, to the compliance of RINA fleet of ships, to the applicable rules pertaining to class and statutory certification

Job Responsibilities

Manage the Fleet Performance & Port State Control Unit, within the Marine Compliance Department, whose primary task is to monitor the RINA classed fleet, from the point of view of response performance to Port State Control and Flag State Inspections and casualties. Part of the activities of the Unit are:

  • monitor PSC websites for PSC detentions and casualties, update RINA database with the relevant details
  • support the Operational Network for PSC follow-up surveys, provide pertinent instructions
  • elaborate statistics and reports relevant to PSC inspections, liaise with PSC Administrations 
  • analyze PSC records and survey reports to establish possible ship's monitoring/targeting schemes
  • monitor the targeted ships/Companies 
  • elaborate actions, procedures, instructions, forms; cooperate with the other OUs to improve the PSC performance of the RINA classed fleet 
  • prepare appeals against RO attribution of a ship's detention 
  • ISM (Safety Management System) knowledge a plus #LI-MC1

Master’s Degree in Naval Engineering
Professional Certificate in Transport and Logistics
