RINA is currently recruiting for a HSE Specialist & RSPP - Laboratorio Meccanico - Chimico Metallografia to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the RINA Consulting QOHSE Division.
Mission
A Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor typically plays a crucial role in supporting the HSE function within an organization. The role ensures the application of the Corporate and Company policies, developing and implementing security policies, guidelines, procedures and protocols, for the security of Company assets, projects and business travels.
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive HSE Specialist & RSPP (Health, Safety, and Environment Responsible) to lead and manage workplace safety and health initiatives in our metallurgical and chemical laboratories. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with Italian Legislative Decree 81/08 while fostering a culture of safety and excellence in our high-tech lab environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Act as RSPP (Responsabile del Servizio di Prevenzione e Protezione), ensuring compliance with D.Lgs. 81/08 and related regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about Italian Occupational Health Safety and Environmental regulations to ensure organizational adherence to all relevant laws and standards.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Identify workplace hazards, develop strategies to mitigate risks, and prevent accidents or incidents.
- HSE Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies. Deliver training programs and ensure employee compliance.
- Incident Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents ensuring proper follow-up actions.
- Emergency Response Planning: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, organize drills, and prepare employees for emergencies.
- Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections, work with departments to rectify non-compliance issues.
- HSE Data Analysis and Reporting
- Environmental Management: Manage environmental programs, reduce the organization's environmental impact.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate HSE records for inspections and audits.
- Training and Development: Stay updated on HSE practices, pursue certifications, and attend training programs. #LI-MT3
Education
Qualifications
- up to 10 years of experience in occupational health, safety, and environmental roles, particularly in mechanical and chemical laboratories. This includes conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and implementing HSE programs.
- Certifications: Possessing certifications such as Responsible for the Service of Prevention and Protection (RSPP) can strengthen your profile.
- Italian Regulations: Strong understanding of Italian occupational health safety and environmental regulations applicable to Mechanical and Chemical Laboratories.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effectively conveying HSE policies and procedures.
- Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with different departments and teams to integrate HSE considerations into daily operations.
