RINA is currently recruiting for a Global Travel Manager - Categorie Protette (L.68/99) to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the Global Travel & Mobility Division.
Mission
The Global Travel Manager manages the execution and deployment of the global travel framework within the assigned scope, ensuring the consistent adoption of policies, processes, controls, and tools, while supporting business stakeholders and driving operational performance. A key aspect of the role is the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of dashboards and KPIs to provide full visibility into travel performance, usage trends, travel costs, and operational risks. #LI-VB1

Key Accountabilities
Travel Governance & Operations
-Oversee the travel process through the OBT in use and the new tool when implemented
-Manage travel operations across locations, ensuring uniform adoption of policies and procedures.
-Manage all the internal requests coming through the dedicated channel (etc Mail Travel) regarding: booking issues, requests for offline/assisted, trying to optimize the need of support, creating pills, videos and optimizing the support from the local TMC
-Coordinate operational activities with the Travel Management Company (TMC) and local stakeholders.
-Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety standards, and legal requirements in each operating country.
-Coordinate with local offices to optimize costs, reduce inefficiencies, and ensure operational readiness.
Supplier & Contract Management
-Manage relationships with travel agencies, hotel providers, car rentals, airline companies, mobility platforms and all contracts Travel related
-Monitor supplier performance through KPIs such as downtime, service quality, availability, and cost effectiveness.
-Coordinate escalations and ensure timely resolution of service-related issues.
Monitoring, KPIs & Reporting
-Design, develop, and maintain travel dashboards with KPIs covering: travel in policies/not in policies, ESG parameters (like CO2 emissions), requests for offline bookings, etc
- Continuously track performance, identify anomalies, and propose corrective actions.
-Identify trends, risks, gaps and improvement opportunities.
-Prepare periodic performance reports and management dashboards.
Cost Optimization & Strategy
- Identify opportunities for contract optimization.
- Conduct cost benefit analyses for alternative lodging/mobility options
- Benchmark against industry standards to introduce best practices and efficiency improvements.
Mobility Policy Management
- Ensure global adherence to rules regarding travel class, and reimbursement.
- Support communication and training activities for employees and managers on travel procedures.
-Review exceptions, policy deviations and off-system bookings.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented where non-compliance is identified.
-Support audits, compliance reviews and data quality activities.
Risk, Safety & Compliance
- Monitor incidents, insurance claims, and accident trends; coordinate preventive actions.
- Ensure the business travels meet safety and regulatory requirements.
- Work with HSE to promote risk-reduction initiatives.
Cross-Functional & Regional Collaboration
- Collaborate with: HR (travel policies), Procurement (contracts, agreements, supplier selection), Fleet (harmonized mobility strategy), Finance (budgeting, cost control, accruals), Regional Offices (travel operations and local needs) and lead change management activities when introducing new policies or tools.
Education
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Mobility Management, or related fields.
5-7 years of experience in travel/travel implementation contract operations.
Proven ability to manage complex suppliers
Advanced analytical and KPI-design skills (Power BI/Tableau).
Strong leadership, communication, and ability to guide cross-functional and regional teams.
Fluency in Italian and English

Compensation Data
The salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €40,000 and €45,000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role. In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements. The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
