RINA is currently recruiting for a Global Security Manager to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the HSSE Management Division.

Mission

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing comprehensive security strategies and programs to protect the organization’s personnel, assets and information.You will act as a proactive leader, identifying potential security threats and mitigating risks across a multinational environment. Specifically, you will be responsible for planning, establishing and monitoring security policies, guidelines, procedures and protocols for the whole organization.
You will implement security operations worldwide - at the office, while travelling and at client premises - and provide support to ensure that security is properly managed, making every working environment safe according to RINA’s Risk Management approach. You will collaborate with C-level stakeholders and coordinate other security professionals in the operating companies on a daily basis and during crisis situations. You will also supervise security services and support the management of security risks and issues in every scenario.

Key Accountabilities

Security Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Design and oversee security programs to address identified risks.
- Benchamrk the best tools available in order to manage risks on security platforms.
Operational Security Management:
- Manage daily security operations, including travel security, physical security, access control, surveillance, and incident response.
- Coordinate security activities with both regional offices and security professionals in the operative companies to ensure consistency in security measures.
- Monitor security systems and investigate security breaches or incidents.
- Obtain the most valid and flexible insurance covering business travellers dealing with brokers.
Crisis Management and Response:
- Develop and maintain crisis management plans, including emergency response procedures.
- Co-lead incident response efforts during security breaches or crises.
- Conduct post-incident analysis and suggest corrective actions.
Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international security regulations and standards.
- Prepare and submit required security reports to regulatory bodies.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, and supervise security personnel.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance skills and knowledge among all RINA personnel worldwide.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities for team members.
- Conduct due diligence on security providers worldwide.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Liaise with law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and industry peers to stay informed on best practices and emerging threats.
- Collaborate with other departments (IT, HR, Facility, ecc.) to ensure integrated security measures.
- Communicate security status and issues to C-levels and other senior stakeholders.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage the security department budget.
- Allocate resources efficiently to ensure maximum security coverage and effectiveness.
- Evaluate and procure security equipment and technology as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of latest security technologies and industry trends.
- Implement innovative solutions to enhance security measures.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of security policies and procedures.
- Create reports for senior management on security status.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Law or Political Science

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security roles, including at least 3 years in a global or regional leadership position.
  • Advanced degree in Security Management or a related field preferred; relevant professional certifications such as UNI 10459 Level 2 or 3, APP, CPP, or ISMI Level 6 will  be considered an asset.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing security strategies, policies and procedures.
  • Experience managing international teams within multinational organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 31000.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in written and spoken Italian and English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and security management software applications, including CCTV, access control, travel security platforms and mass communication systems.
  • Experience with security technologies, systems and equipment, as well as security protocols and procedures.
  • Experience in reporting, emergency response planning and crisis management.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis.

Compensation Data

The salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria, and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).
The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €55,000 and €65,000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies, and overall alignment with the role. In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements. The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
