RINA is currently recruiting for a Global Privacy Senior Advisor to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the Global ESG & Compliance Division.

Mission

The ideal candidate will work in multidisciplinary contexts in close contact with the other members of the Privacy group and will be responsible for contributing to the pursuit of Privacy compliance, i.e. defining and applying the data protection strategies appropriate to the objectives business, particularly in the ICT field, according with current regulations regarding the protection of personal data.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support to technical areas in the implementation of the privacy model and in the application of the personal data protection legislation, with particular reference to the ICT services provided and used
  • Support in the analysis of projects, through privacy by design and by default assessments applied to complex systems
  • Support in carrying out risk analyzes and impact assessments (DPIA, TIA, LIA)
  • Support in managing relationships with third parties, DPA negotiation and finalization
  • Specialist support for activities related to legislation on the protection of personal data (e.g. keeping the Processing Activities Register, drafting notices, management of personal data breaches; management of requests from data subjects, etc.)
  • Execution of conformity verification activities on the adequacy of first and second level of procedures and controls, with identification of the corrective actions required
  • Support in the implementation of company procedures and in the updating and/or implementation of privacy forms in line with the nature of the services provided and performed, in the preparation of reports and/or checklists
  • Monitoring of regulatory developments in the field of privacy with particular reference to primary national and European-derived legislation as well as to the provisions of the Privacy Authority to be disclosed internally, to the corporate structures involved
  • Support in the preparation and delivery of training courses on the protection of personal data

Education

Master’s Degree in Economics or Law
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General

Qualifications

  • 3- max 5 years of experience in a role in modernly structured companies or at leading consultancy firms
  • Proven knowledge of the legislation on the protection of personal data
  • Knowledge in the IT field and in particular IT Governance (e.g. data governance, IT risk, IT security)
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English
  • Possession of a specialist master's degree in privacy issues and certifications in the privacy or information security field (UNI 11679; ISO 27001; CIPP/E, Cobit, NIST) will be considered a plus
