RINA is currently recruiting for a Engineering Project Support Advisor - Categorie Protette 68/99 to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the RINA Consulting Planning, Monitoring & Business Support Division.
Mission
We are looking for a Project Support Advisor, registered as a protected category candidate under Italian Law 68/99, to join the Energy Project Control Team within the Planning, Monitoring & Business Support Unit.
The role provides operational, administrative and analytical support to Project Managers across the project lifecycle, contributing to the monitoring of costs, timelines, KPIs and quality, and to the smooth day-to-day running of project activities.
Key Accountabilities
The successful candidate will work on the Planning and Monitoring Area of Energy Business Line projects and will manage the Project Control activities as explained below.
Project Monitoring & Control
- Support Project Managers in the monthly project closure, checking costs, progress and consistency of project data
- Contribute to project budgeting, forecasting and cost monitoring, helping keep the project baseline up to date
- Follow project KPIs (costs, margin, progress) and flag deviations to the Project Manager
Reporting & Administration
- Extract and consolidate project data from corporate systems to prepare periodic reports and dashboards
- Manage project administrative activities, including purchase requests, contracts and coordination with vendors and partners
- Organise project meetings, prepare agendas and follow up on agreed actions
- Act as a point of contact between the project team and corporate functions (Finance, Procurement, HR)
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to improving project control processes, tools and methodologies, promoting shared standards and best practices.
Education
Qualifications
- Mandatory requirement: Registered as a protected category candidate under Italian Law 68/99 (collocamento mirato)
- 1–3 years of experience in project support, administration, accounting or controlling, ideally in engineering or consulting environments, is considered a plus. Candidates without a university degree will be considered if they have equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Good working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, main functions, data handling), Power BI and/or other data analysis tools
- Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, SAP or equivalent)
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of additional languages will be considered as a plus
- Accuracy, organisation and the ability to work to recurring monthly deadlines
- Basic understanding of project accounting (WBS, cost and revenue monitoring on long-term contracts)
- Experience in complex, matrixed or international organisations is considered a plus #LI-MT3

Compensation Data
The salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480). The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €30000 and €39000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role. In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements. The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
