RINA is currently recruiting for a Energy Transition Engineer to join its office in Genoa within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division.
Mission
As an Energy Management Optimization Engineer specializing in developing projects for control and optimization, primary role will be to lead and contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of energy optimization initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance sustainability, reduce environmental impact, and improve energy efficiency within manufacturing and industrial processes.
Key Accountabilities
1. Energy Assessment and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing energy usage within manufacturing facilities.
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and reductions in environmental impact.
2. Project Planning and Design:
- Develop and implement energy transition projects that align with the organization's sustainability goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design solutions that optimize energy consumption and reduce carbon emissions.
3. Renewable Energy Integration:
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for the integration of renewable energy sources, such as solar, wind, or other sustainable technologies.
- Work on the design and implementation of renewable energy systems within manufacturing processes.
4. Technology Implementation:
- Research and recommend innovative technologies and equipment to enhance energy efficiency.
- Oversee the implementation of new technologies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and environmental health and safety teams.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including suppliers, government agencies, and industry partners, to promote collaboration and garner support for energy transition initiatives.
6. Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards related to energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
- Ensure that projects comply with all applicable regulatory requirements.
7. Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Implement monitoring systems to track the performance of energy transition projects.
- Evaluate project outcomes and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.#LI-IG1
Education
Qualifications
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in energy assessments, energy efficiency projects, or sustainable energy solutions, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments.
Technical Skills:
- The candidate should have expertise in energy systems, energy modelling, energy optimization techniques using ML and project management. The candidate will work mainly on projects related to renewables, energy grids optimization, waste heat recovery, energy modelling, control system and decision support tools for energy management in buildings, industrial environment and districts.
