RINA is currently recruiting for a Energy Power Projects Manager to join its office in Genoa within the Energy Project Solutions .Within this division, the reference team in which we are looking to place the selected candidate is responsible for consultancy services provided to external clients in the field of power generation plants, with a particular focus on construction, commissioning, operation, and related project phases
Mission
As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and managing complex projects in the Power Generation sector.
You will primarily work with major long-standing RINA clients, such as leading energy operators in the power generation industry (e.g. gas powerplants, combined cycle plants, etc.), coordinating projects and managing activities such as on-site team coordination, construction site inspections, progress monitoring, quality control, and supervision activities.
The team also aims to strengthen existing collaborations with players of different sizes operating in the Italian market for the development of power generation plants (e.g. wind farms). In this context, Project Management activities related to construction supervision, quality control, and works supervision will also be required.
For this reason, we are also interested in evaluating candidates with a strong technical background who have gained hands-on experience working alongside construction supervision teams and are therefore familiar with site dynamics and operational activities.
Key Accountabilities
The main activities expected for the Project Manager role include:
-Managing assigned projects while ensuring technical, financial, and scheduling objectives are achieved
-Coordinating involved resources and supervising operational activities
-Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, company procedures, and quality standards
-Managing relationships with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams
-Supporting technical supervision, inspection, testing, and Works Supervision activities
-Managing the technical and commercial aspects of contracts and related project documentation
-Participating in progress meetings and coordinating project activities #LI-IG1
Education
Qualifications
- 4–5 years of working experience in engineering (including purely technical roles) or project management, within the Power Generation sector (gas plants, combined cycles, renewables, wind energy, etc.)
- Previous field experience, for example within Works Supervision teams or equivalent technical roles, will be considered a plus
- Candidates with a technical background (e.g. plant design, site supervision, on-site operational activities) and an interest in developing managerial/project management responsibilities will also be positively evaluated
- Ability to coordinate activities, manage client relationships, and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent knowledge of Italian and English language
