RINA is currently recruiting for a Energy Offshore Engineering Project Manager to join its office in Genoa within the Energy Engineering Project Management Division.

Mission

The Energy & Offshore Engineering Project Manager at RINA Consulting S.p.A. plays a pivotal role in steering complex engineering initiatives within the energy sector. This role is responsible for orchestrating project execution with precision, ensuring all deliverables align with established deadlines, scope, and budgets. Collaboration across diverse teams and proactive client engagement are essential to drive project success and sustainable outcomes in dynamic environments.

Key Accountabilities

Project Leadership and Planning:
- Design and implement detailed project plans that articulate clear objectives, scope, milestones, and deliverables prioritize alignment with organisational strategy and client expectations.
- Regularly review and adapt project timelines and resources to accommodate scope changes, ensuring transparent communication with all stakeholders.
Contract and Compliance Management:
- Manage contractual obligations vigilantly, ensuring all project activities reflect client agreements and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with legal and procurement departments to identify and mitigate contract-related risks, documenting any amendments with formal approvals.
Client Engagement and Relationship Building:
- Serve as the principal liaison between client and project teams, delivering concise and timely updates that enhance client confidence and satisfaction.
- Facilitate frequent client consultations to capture feedback, resolve concerns proactively, and tailor project delivery to evolving needs.
Team Coordination and Development:
- Assign tasks strategically to project engineers and discipline leaders, balancing workloads to optimise productivity and quality.
- Support team development through performance monitoring, constructive feedback, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
Financial Oversight:
- Create and maintain comprehensive budgets, closely tracking expenditures against forecasts to safeguard financial objectives.
- Identify and implement cost efficiencies without compromising project quality or schedule.
- Generate detailed budget variance analyses and brief stakeholders on financial health regularly.
Risk and Quality Management:
- Establish robust risk management protocols that identify potential threats and outline proactive mitigation strategies.
- Continuously monitor and assess risk factors, coordinating with relevant parties to manage emerging challenges effectively.
- Uphold stringent quality assurance standards through meticulous review processes, ensuring outputs meet or exceed client and corporate benchmarks.
- Lead comprehensive post-project evaluations to extract insights and inform continuous improvement initiatives.
Documentation, Reporting, and Communication:
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records throughout the project lifecycle, including technical documentation, progress reports, and meeting notes.
- Cultivate transparent, consistent communication streams among internal teams and external stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
- Prepare articulate final project summaries, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons for future reference.

Education

Master’s Degree in Naval Engineering or Civil Engineering

Qualifications

  • + 5 years' professional experience in engineering or technical roles, with significant exposure to multi-disciplinary project settings; alternatively, 1-3 years in associate project management within related sectors.
  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary projects in Energy field is appreciated, in particular in offshore sector.
  • Advanced project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are beneficial.
  • Proven capacity to juggle multiple complex tasks and meet tight deadlines with a structured approach.
  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies, with demonstrable application in engineering projects.
  • Sound understanding of industry standards, such as frameworks relevant to energy and offshore sectors.
  • Experience with contract administration, client relationship stewardship, and vendor management within engineering projects.
  • Fluency in Italian & English languages is required
