RINA is currently recruiting for a EU R&D Projects Team coordinator to join its office in Genoa or Milan, Italy within the Green Energy Solutions Division.

Mission

This role focuses on leading the R&D proposal team providing concept ideation, building the international enabling consortium and writing international R&D projects, focusing on energy efficiency, power generation, renewable sources, district heating and smart power grid management.

Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be part of the team Energy Innovation Strategic Centre which is mainly exposed to R&D projects, innovation, and digital activities.

As a R&D Proposal Team Manager, the ideal candidate will be part of our Energy Business Unit and shape the development of RINA’s Energy R&D activities,  being a good leader and supporting the team member in delivering R&D proposal.

The ideal candidate will: 

  • be focused in creating opportunities together with the R&D personal and company network.
  • have the ability to adapt to external factors and internal guidance, manage multiple proposal, and build and nurture relationships.
  • supervise, lead and support a team of Proposal Managers in the development of EU R&D proposals, in the field of power generation (renewable energy and its integration in new sectors), decarbonization & energy transition, district heating, power grid development;
  • lead the team, guiding, training and inspiring the team members in the development of strategic activities for drafting R&D proposals;
  • manage and maintain partner relationships and conduct long-term strategic cooperation plans, collect and feedback market information;
  • develop and manage the network of EU project international partners;
  • contribute to RINA’s activities of technical development, in the framework of EU funded projects also interacting with international partners;
  • contribute to the creation of new opportunities in the framework of European and international R&D programmes;
  • contribute to the growth of RINA’s network of R&D partners in the field of Energy.

Experience & Requirements

 

  • Degree in energy/electrical/mechanical or other relevant engineering with focus on energy efficiency, electrical grid, renewable energy technologies, smart grids.
  • At least 5 years of related work experience
  • Fluency in English and Italian
  • Excellent reporting skills both verbal and written
  • Capacity to conduct research, organize work and produce results
  • Good attitude to teamwork
  • Open-minded to innovation, creativity and good attitude to networking
