Decarb & Chain of Custody Senior Product Developer

Mission

The Senior Product Developer will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our offerings, driving innovation, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and market demands. The role focuses on sustainability and certification schemes for biofuels, bioliquids, biomass fuels, renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBOs), recycled carbon fuels, and products for the bioeconomy and circular economy, specifically within the ISCC frameworks (ISCC EU, ISCC PLUS, ISCC CORSIA). The position acts as a technical authority for ISCC certification schemes, ensuring methodological consistency, regulatory compliance, and robustness in line with accreditation requirements. #LI-MP3

Key Accountabilities

Service Management & Development

• Manage the ISCC Product Portfolio in line with regulatory requirements, both directly and through cross-team collaboration.

• Execute and oversee actions to ensure successful service delivery compliant with regulatory standards.

• Draft and maintain certification documentation in accordance with official requirements.

• Manage strategic relationships with Scheme Owners.

• Design and develop service modifications based on regulatory trends and client needs.

• Coordinate training for auditors and internal staff.

• Contribute to pricing strategies and value proposition design.

• Monitor and analyze performance of ISCC services using KPIs, providing actionable insights to senior management.

• Plan and conduct third-party audits of organizations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence

• Act as a key advisor to operational and commercial teams on product strategies and customer management.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to ensure teams can effectively handle product-related challenges.

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with industry leaders and stakeholders to influence market trends.

• Represent the company in high-level industry forums, fostering a reputation for thought leadership.

Knowledge Management

• • Lead initiatives to disseminate knowledge and best practices across the business unit.

  • Mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth and ensuring a high standard of expertise within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of mandatory experience specifically within ISCC schemes.

• Audit Expertise: Proven experience in auditing or general conformity assessment services.

• Service Development: Expertise in developing and scaling certification services.

• Methodology: Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience leading service development teams.

• Strategy: Ability to define Go-to-Market strategies and manage the full service lifecycle.

• Business Acumen: Experience in pricing strategies and value proposition design.

• Innovation: Awareness of digital transformation trends and emerging technologies in the certification sector.

• Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English and Italian.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Sustainability, Energy, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Agricultural/Forestry Sciences, or similar).

• Candidates with different academic backgrounds will be considered if supported by significant professional experience in certification, consultancy, or GHG (Greenhouse Gas) calculations.
