RINA is currently recruiting for a Data Analyst/Scientist to join its office in Genova (Italy) within the Marine Digital Solutions Division.
Mission
The Data Scientist plays a key role in designing and implementing innovative data-driven solutions to support RINA’s digital transformation in the marine sector. The role is responsible for developing predictive models, data science applications, and visualization tools that generate actionable insights, enabling customers to improve decision-making and operational efficiency. #LI-MR1
Key Accountabilities

Data Analysis & Modeling:

Develop predictive models and algorithms to support business intelligence solutions.

Perform statistical analysis and data mining on large and complex datasets.

Solution Development:
-
Design, implement, and optimize data science solutions tailored to customer needs.

Improve and maintain existing business intelligence tools and data platforms.

Data Visualization & Communication:
-
Create clear and effective data visualizations to support decision-making.
-
Present analytical results and insights to internal stakeholders and external customers.

Collaboration & Innovation:
-
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of developers and naval architects.

Contribute to the creation of new digital solutions for RINA’s marine clients.

Technology & Tools:
-
Apply machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/Keras).

Use data visualization tools such as Power BI to build interactive dashboards.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay up to date with emerging data science methodologies, tools, and technologies.

Proactively suggest enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy of data-driven processes.

Education
Qualifications
-
2–5 years of experience in data science, predictive modeling, and data analysis.

Proven experience handling and processing large datasets.

Proficiency in Python and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

Familiarity with data visualization and presentation tools (e.g., Power BI).

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights clearly.

Fluency in Italian and English.
