RINA is currently recruiting for a Buyer to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the Italy Supply Chain Division.
Mission
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Supply Chain team by conducting supplier research, evaluating supplier credibility, negotiating with small to medium-sized suppliers, and assessing orders from Business Units. This position may also involve supporting business processes from BID stages through project implementation.
Key Accountabilities
- Support Supply Chain Strategy Implementation:
- Ensure adherence to Supply Chain guidelines, policies, and regulatory requirements - Vendor Management and performance:
- Maintain and update the Vendor List with detailed supplier information
- Develop and maintain detailed performance scorecards and risk passports for suppliers
- Evaluate supplier performance across multiple dimensions and ensure compliance - Supplier Relationship Management:
- Conduct thorough assessments of supplier capabilities and maintain strategic relationships - Risk Monitoring:
- Support regular risk assessments and monitor the risk passport process - Purchase Management:
- Manage the issuance, receipt, and detailed evaluation of RFQs and bids
- Manage PR and PO
- Collaborate with technical teams and participate in Tender Clarification Meetings - Target Setting:
- Define target prices and commercial conditions and communicate these to vendors - Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Support the analysis Supply Chain data and generate reports to support decision-making
Education
Qualifications
- Maximum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Supply Chain management, or a related field
- Understanding of supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management
- Preferred experience in one of the following sectors: infrastructure & mobility, energy, strategic and general services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Supply Chain software
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in Supply Chain activities is a plus
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
