RINA is currently recruiting for a Assistente Direzione Lavori - Opere Civili to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Civil Engineering Division.
Mission
The role is focuses on supporting the Project Management team to ensuring that the projetc and construction activities are adhere to specifications, quality standards, and timelines. The main focus is on supporting on the coordination of various stakeholders, the management of resources, and the implementation of the best practices to deliver successful projects.
Key Accountabilities
1. Project Management, Planning and Coordination:
- Support the development and execution of project plans, considering scope, budget, and schedule constraints.
- Support the collaboration with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are clearly defined and understood.
2. Quality Assurance:
- Support the implementation of quality control measures to guarantee construction activities meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Support on the conduction of regular inspections to identify and address potential issues in a proactive manner.
3. Resource Management:
- Support the allocation and utilization of resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of construction materials and services.
4. Budget Oversight:
- Monitor project budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and adherence to cost estimates.
- Support in the identification of cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations for budget optimization.
5. Safety Compliance:
- Support on the implementation of safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel on the construction site.
- Support on conduction of safety audits and address any non-compliance issues promptly.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders, communicating project status, challenges, and resolutions.
7. Client Liaison:
- Foster positive relationships with clients by providing excellent communication and addressing client concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure client satisfaction by meeting or exceeding project expectations.
Education
Qualifications
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent in project management) are a plus.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, ACI, Eurocodes, FIDIC contracts).
- Basic understanding of project management principles and ability to support planning, scheduling, and coordination efforts.
- Familiarity with construction methodologies, materials, and best practices.
- Basic knowledge of quality control procedures and industry compliance standards.
- Understanding of budget management, cost estimation, and financial tracking for construction projects.
- Awareness of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and risk mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM).
