RINA is currently recruiting for a Rolling Stock Certification Senior Assessor to join its office in Florence, Italy within the Transport & Infrastructure Certification Division.
Mission
This position is dedicated to conducting comprehensive assessment activities within the railway sector, specialising in Rolling Stock including Conventional trains, High-Speed units, and Innovative traction systems across both mainline and light rail vehicles. The role involves executing detailed evaluations and generating thorough reports to ensure compliance and safety standards are consistently met in this critical transportation domain.
Key Accountabilities
- Act as the main point of contact for our clients, lead meetings with clients and our assessment team; #LI-MC1
- Lead assessment project and involved assessment team, both in national and foreign project;
- Perform assessment activities related to the projects in the Railway Rolling Stock domain;
- Ensure the deliveries foreseen by our assessment and verification plans;
- Work with efficient dialogue and support the project actively in reaching the satisfactory results in time;
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedure, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards.
Education
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3/5 years of demonstrated experience in conducting assessments, validations, and audits within the railway industry, with a strong emphasis on rolling stock.
- Comprehensive knowledge of railway system design, operations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance, including familiarity with safety management systems and quality assurance frameworks applicable to the railway sector.
- Proven experience in preparing detailed, accurate assessment reports aligned with organizational requirements and international industry standards such as UIC, ERA, and EN standards.
- Solid understanding of railway certification processes, risk management, and performance evaluation methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to critically evaluate technical systems, infrastructure, and operational procedures within the railway environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, enabling clear presentation of complex technical information to diverse audiences.
