RINA is currently recruiting for a Subsea Systems Engineer to join its office in Fano, Italy within the Energy Engineering Solutions Division.
Mission
As Subsea Systems Engineer you will be responsible for leading technical engineering activities related to the design, verification, and certification of subsea structures/systems and vessel receiving structures. This role ensures compliance with project requirements within assigned budgets, schedules, and quality standards, while maintaining and developing technical expertise and procedures. The position focuses on capitalizing on project experiences to enhance and harmonize work methodologies.
Key Accountabilities
1.Leadership and Coordination:
-Lead and coordinate all activities relevant to the design, verification and certification of subsea structures and vessel receiving structures, either existing or new.
-Supervise the execution of all technical activities within the discipline.
2.Project Management:
-Manage internal and external project interfaces to ensure timely provision of necessary input/information for project execution.
-Control and monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion.
3.Technical Oversight:
-Oversee engineering activities and provide technical support or direction in solving technical issues.
-Lead the engineering team in identifying strategies for system configuration tasks and component design, ensuring project progress and task completion within constraints.
-Identify project and contract hot spots and criticalities.
-Optimize technical engineering processes to reduce time and costs.
4.Interface Management:
-Oversee the management of interfaces with other disciplines and construction/installation activities, driving the team toward cost-effective solutions.
5.Third-Party Management:
-Supervise and coordinate the activities of review/independent analysis of subsea engineers during third-party engineering activities.
Client and Project Team Interface:
-Oversee requisitioning and technical bid evaluations.
6.Skill Development:
-Develop personnel skills and flexibility through work assignments, responsibilities, and participation in seminars and courses.
7.Reporting:
- Report to the Subsea Principal Engineer, providing updates on project progress and technical challenges. #LI-MT3
Education
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in subsea/offshore engineering projects, with a proven track record in leading technical engineering activities.
- Extensive knowledge of structural analysis techniques and relevant software (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS).
- Proficiency in CAD software for layout design (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
- Proven project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage medium-complex projects within budget and time constraints.
