About the Role:
We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Structural Engineer to join our team for major offshore projects with a strong focus on heavy lifting and installation engineering. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in structural design and analysis for offshore platforms and will lead critical phases of lifting, transportation, and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze offshore structures for heavy lifting operations, including jackets, topsides, and complex steel components.
- Perform advanced structural analyses: static, dynamic, fatigue, lifting, transportation, and installation.
- Develop and validate lifting plans, load-out procedures, grillage and sea fastening designs.
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis for high-stress components and lifting points (pad-eyes, joints, cast steel details).
- Supervise construction and offshore installation activities, ensuring safe and efficient heavy lifting operations.
- Ensure compliance with international standards (API, AISC, DnV, ASME, Eurocode).
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage project deliverables under tight schedules.
Requirements:
- Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; specialization in Seismic Engineering is a plus.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in offshore structural engineering, including EPCI projects and heavy lifting operations.
- Proficiency in structural software (ANSYS, SACS, SAP2000, NASTRAN) and piping stress analysis tools (CAESAR II).
- Strong knowledge of CAD and 3D modeling (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Tekla).
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English; international offshore experience preferred.
