RINA is currently recruiting for a Pipeline Engineer to join its office in Fano (Italy) within the Plant Engineering Division.

Mission

The Pipeline Engineer contribute to the design and development of pipeline systems. Assisting the senior engineers, the Pipeline Engineer is involved in various aspects of pipeline design, material selection, hydraulic analysis, regulatory compliance, and construction support. 

Key Accountabilities

Assist in Pipeline Design: 
- Support senior engineers in developing detailed engineering designs for pipelines, considering factors such as fluid type, pressure, temperature, terrain, and environmental regulations.
Assist in Route Selection: 
- Collaborate with senior engineers to determine the best route for the pipeline, considering topography, geotechnical conditions, and land use, while minimizing environmental impact.
Material Selection Support: 
- Aid in choosing appropriate materials for pipeline construction, considering factors like corrosion resistance, strength, and cost-effectiveness under the guidance of senior engineers.
Hydraulic Analysis Assistance: 
- Assist in conducting hydraulic analysis to ensure proper sizing and flow characteristics of the pipeline, considering factors like pressure drop, fluid velocity, and pump station requirements.
Regulatory Compliance Support: 
- Work with senior engineers to ensure that pipeline designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and codes.
Support Stress Analysis: 
- Assist in performing stress analysis to ensure the structural integrity of the pipeline under various operating conditions and external forces, under the guidance of senior engineers.
Collaborate with Other Disciplines: 
- Coordinate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines, such as civil, structural, and environmental engineers, to integrate pipeline design with overall project requirements.
Cost Estimation Assistance: 
- Support senior engineers in preparing cost estimates for pipeline construction, considering material costs, labor, equipment, and other relevant expenses.
Construction Phase Support: 
- Provide assistance during the construction phase, addressing any design-related issues that may arise and ensuring that the construction is in accordance with the approved design under the guidance of senior engineers.
Risk Assessment Assistance: 
- Aid in identifying and assessing potential risks associated with pipeline design and proposing mitigation measures under the guidance of senior engineers.
Client Interaction Support: 
- Assist in communicating with clients to understand their requirements, present design proposals, and address any concerns or modifications.
Documentation and Reporting: 
- Assist in preparing detailed engineering documents, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports under the guidance of senior engineers.
Innovation and Optimization Research: 
-Support senior engineers in exploring new technologies and methodologies to optimize pipeline design and construction processes.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Energy Engineering

Qualifications

 - Strong understanding of engineering principles and concepts.
 - Knowledge in engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar.
 - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
 - Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
 - Experience in offshore pipeline design, cathodic protection, material specifications is considered a plus.
 - Eagerness to learn and develop within the field of pipeline engineering. #LI-AU5
