We are looking for professionals with expertise in Electromobility and Sustainable Urban Mobility for a remote opportunity, with occasional short-term travel to Mexico.
The profiles will be evaluated for a project that is currently under a bidding process.
Mission
Contribute to strengthening Mexico’s electromobility agenda through the development of regulatory frameworks, technical standards, charging infrastructure planning, and power grid integration, promoting the implementation of sustainable urban mobility solutions aligned with international best practices and the country’s energy transition objectives.

Required Profiles
1. Team Leader (international-experience profile)
- Master's in business administration, communication, international development or a related field (project management / international relations)
- 7+ yrs in project management (planning, contract management, M&E, reporting)
- 5+ yrs in e-mobility, transport or sustainable urban mobility
- 5+ yrs in leadership with disciplinary responsibility for ≥30 people
- 2+ yrs in international projects (outside the region) in sustainable/e-mobility
- 3+ yrs in Latin America & the Caribbean / Central America
- 2+ yrs in development cooperation
- English C1 + Spanish B2
2. Senior Technical Expert — Electromobility (national-experience profile)
- Master's in sustainable mobility, transport planning, transport engineering or electrical engineering
- 7+ yrs in the transport & mobility sector
- 7+ yrs (cumulative) in technical standards & regulations, e-mobility, public transport, infrastructure or energy systems, in a technical role
- 5+ yrs in international e-mobility projects (policies, technical standards, regulatory frameworks, EV infrastructure)
- 3+ yrs in Latin America & the Caribbean
- Quality-assurance experience (ToRs, studies, policy drafts, reports)
- English C1 + Spanish C1; availability ~4h/day on Mexico time (GMT-4)
3. Senior Experts — Electromobility Regulation & Infrastructure Planning (international-experience profile)
- Master's in engineering (electrical/energy/transport infrastructure/mechanical/systems), transport/urban/sustainable mobility, or public policy/regulatory studies related to e-mobility/transport/energy/climate
- 5+ yrs in sustainable mobility & e-mobility
- Specialist experience in one or more of: infrastructure/grid analysis & charging systems design (EV grid integration); regulatory frameworks & technical standards; or e-mobility policy & implementation
- 5+ yrs of experience in electromobility in Latin America & the Caribbean, outside Mexico (regulation, technical standards, policy implementation)
- Spanish C2 + English C1
4. Senior Experts — Governance & Implementation (national-experience profile)
- Master's in engineering, transport/urban/sustainable mobility, or public policy/regulatory studies related to e-mobility/transport regulation/energy/climate/governance
- 5+ yrs in sustainable mobility & e-mobility
- 5+ yrs in regulatory development, technical standards or electric-transport policies, public transport, infrastructure or energy systems
- 5+ yrs in projects in Latin America & the Caribbean / Central America
- Spanish C2 (English C1 a plus)
Key Information
Location & Contract Information
- Location: Remote work from the specialist’s country of residence, with occasional short-term travel to Mexico.
- Contract Type: Short-Term Expert (STE).
- Project Status: Anticipated opportunity, subject to contract award.

- Open to candidates of all nationalities and countries of residence.
- Mexican nationality or residence is not required for any of the positions.
- For all roles, the terms "National Profile" and "International Profile" refer to the required professional experience, not the candidate's nationality or place of residence.
Experience Profile Definitions
National Profile
- Proven professional experience in Latin America and the Caribbean (including Mexico).
- Strong command of Spanish.
- Relevant experience in the required technical field within the region.
International Profile
- Proven professional experience gained outside Mexico.
- Relevant international exposure in the required technical field.
- No requirement to be a non-Mexican national or to reside outside Mexico.
