Exceptional Engineering Manager required to join RINA’s Transport Project Engineering capability in Ireland. Your role will be to manage and support Ireland’s New Engineering Contract (NEC), for the country's complex Rail Transformation Programme, Metrolink.

 

This role will be based in Dublin, Ireland. 2 year Fixed Term Contract.

 


Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Act as the NEC supervisor and coordinator throughout the Programme;
  • Review contractor’s Quality Management Plan, ITPs, method statements, and risk assessments;
  • Serve as the day-to-day site representative to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible execution of works, including site access and inspection & testing activities;
  • Monitor contractor’s inspection records, as-built drawings, and compliance with approved quality plans;
  • Hold regular site meetings to review workforce allocation and progress against the contract programme;
  • Maintain a detailed site diary, photographic records, and contribute to monthly quality reports;
  • Support assessment of Compensation Events and participate in weekly/monthly progress meetings.

 


Skills, Experience & Qualifications
 

 

  • 15+ years’ engineering experience, 7 of which must include NEC 4 Supervision, in large scale multidisciplinary railway engineering and construction projects, or projects of a similar nature;
  • Must have NEC3/4 ECC Supervision accreditation and working experience of CEMAR;
  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in relevant subject area e.g. Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction;
  • Ideally a Chartered member of a relevant professional body e.g.  Engineers Ireland or RICS;
  • Lead small teams of up to 5 Project Engineers;
  • Experience of creating KPIs for, and monitoring Contractors and / or Consultants performance;
  • Experience in executing contracts, in particular the NEC suite of contracts;
  • Preferably you will be an Irish citizen, or have right to work in a permanent position.
