Dublin, IE, D02 HW77
Exceptional Project Controls Lead needed to manage a large and complex Project Management Office, supporting one of Ireland’s critical strategic Maritime programmes.
This is a senior role suited to someone who is comfortable operating across a range of control functions, including risk, change, schedule, RAID, reporting and PMO process improvement. The role will work closely with the Programme Management team, workstream leads and external suppliers to help ensure that project information is robust, reporting is reliable, and key control processes are applied consistently across the project.
The successful candidate will bring strong project controls discipline, sound judgement, and the ability to translate complex project information into clear, practical outputs that support delivery and management decision-making.
This role will be based in Cork, Ireland. Weekly hybrid working: 3 days in office, 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operation of the project PMO, with a focus on maintaining effective project controls and improving consistency across core processes.
- Help strengthen PMO ways of working across reporting, planning, risk, change control, stakeholder coordination and general project administration.
- Coordinate regular updates with risk owners and workstream leads to ensure risks, mitigations and escalations are properly captured and tracked.
- Prepare risk reporting for management review, ensuring information is accurate, current and clearly presented.
- Coordinate impact assessments and ensure implications for scope, schedule, risk and dependencies are considered before decisions are taken.
- Maintain clear and accurate decision and change records, ensuring a reliable audit trail is in place.
- Manage reporting inputs from workstreams and stakeholders, ensuring information is received on time and to the expected standard.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced PMO or project controls professional who has worked on large, complex projects and is comfortable operating in a structured, high accountability environment.
You will be able to work across multiple control areas, manage detail without losing sight of the wider picture, and build credibility quickly with all stakeholders. A practical, organised and solutions focused approach will be essential, together with strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge where needed.
