RINA is currently recruiting for a Railway/Metro SCADA System Engineer to join its office in Delhi within the Civil Engineering Division.

Mission

We are seeking a skilled Railway/Metro SCADA Engineer to design, implement, test, and maintain SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems for metro and railway networks. The role involves ensuring reliable monitoring and control of traction power, station facilities, and railway systems in compliance with international standards and project requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Design and develop SCADA architectures for railway and metro applications, including traction power SCADA, station SCADA, and integrated control systems.

  • Prepare technical specifications, system design documentation, network topologies, and interface control documents.

  • Ensure integration of SCADA with traction power, signalling, telecommunications, and station systems.

  • Define communication protocols and standards for field devices, RTUs, PLCs, and control centers (e.g., IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3, Modbus, OPC).

  • Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.

  • Perform cybersecurity analysis and implement protective measures in compliance with relevant standards (e.g., IEC 62443).

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless integration and reliable operation.

  • Provide technical support for operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of SCADA systems.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic/TLC Engineering or Engineering General

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in SCADA system design, implementation, and integration in the railway/metro sector (traction power or station systems).

  • Knowledge of SCADA software platforms and industrial automation tools (e.g., Siemens, ABB, GE, Schneider, Hitachi).

  • Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (IEC 60870-5, DNP3, Modbus, OPC).

  • Familiarity with relevant standards for railway applications and industrial cybersecurity.

  • Ability to manage complex system interfaces and ensure system availability and reliability.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).

  • Experience with energy management and real-time monitoring systems.

  • Hands-on experience in site supervision, testing, and commissioning.

  • Knowledge of redundancy architectures, virtualization, and cloud-based SCADA solutions.
