RINA is currently recruiting for a Scandinavia Railway Certification Assessor to join its office in Denmark within the Transport & Infrastructure Certification Division.

Mission

The role focuses on performing assessment and validation activities (execution of activities and reports) within the railway environment.

Key Accountabilities

Assessment and Validation:
Perform assessment and validation activities related to railway projects, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
Client Interaction:
Act as the main point of contact for clients, leading meetings with clients and the assessor team to understand project requirements and expectations.
Delivery Assurance:
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of assessment and verification plans, actively supporting projects to achieve satisfactory results.
Knowledge Sharing:
Mentor and share knowledge with Junior Assessors, contributing to their professional development and growth.
Compliance and Standards:
Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
Knowledge Transfer:
Develop technical knowledge and facilitate effective knowledge transfer to other employees within the organization.
Client Feedback Analysis:
Make recommendations based on external client feedback to assist in the continuous improvement of service delivery.
Project Management:
Undertake project management activities, where applicable, including monitoring the progress of projects and ensuring their successful completion.
Design Verification:
Design verification according to reference standards, conducting structural checks, and ensuring completeness checks on the quality system documentation.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General

Qualifications

 - 2-5 years of experience in assessment, auditing, or inspection within the railway environment or related sectors.
- Experience with railway systems, track infrastructure, signaling, rolling stock, or safety management is essential.
- Exposure to regulatory standards and safety protocols in the railway or transportation sector is highly beneficial.
- In-depth understanding of railway operations, infrastructure, and safety standards (e.g., EN standards, UIC codes, ERA regulations).
- Proven ability to conduct assessments and validation of systems, processes, and infrastructure in line with regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in preparing technical reports, documentation, and evaluation reports with clarity and precision.
- Knowledge of risk management processes and safety audits in the railway environment.
- Analytical skills to assess complex systems, identify compliance gaps, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Familiarity with assessment tools and methods to evaluate the performance and compliance of railway systems.
