RINA is currently recruiting for a Senior Marine Surveyor to join its office in Constanta within the South Europe Marine Division.

The Senior Surveyor serves as an experienced and knowledgeable professional within the organization, applying expertise in maritime Rules, Regulations, and industry principles.The Senior Surveyor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement of surveying processes.

Key Accountabilities
1. Professional Specialist:
- Acts as a professional specialist, applying in-depth knowledge of Rules, Regulations, and industry concepts.
- Keeps abreast of new developments and recommends changes to surveying processes and safety programs.
2. Inspection and Reporting:
- Conducts routine surveys on classed ships, offshore installations, or marine assets to ensure compliance with classification and statutory requirements.
- Prepares technically accurate and timely reports of inspections and surveys.
3. Leadership and Coordination:
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates various phases of surveying work.
- Monitors the quality of service, providing guidance to less experienced surveyors.
4. Client Interaction:
- Engages with clients to solve problems within the area of expertise.
- Ensures client satisfaction through effective communication and resolution of issues.
5. Training and Development:
- Provides guidance, and training to less experienced surveyors.
- Contributes to the development and improvement of the skills and knowledge of the surveying team.
6. Quality Assurance:
7. Ensures the maintenance of quality, content, consistency, and continuity of work performed.
8. Ethical Conduct:
- Uphold the highest ethical standards in all professional interactions, ensuring integrity, transparency, and fairness in survey processes.
Education
Qualifications

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Surveyor or 6 years in engineering/inspection with an IACS Classification Society.

Mandatory Romanian and good English proficiency.

Excellent communication skills, client-oriented mindset, and ability to work with stakeholders.

Understanding of RINA rules, statutory regulations, and marine industry standards.

Ability to read engineering drawings and knowledge of shipbuilding practices, ship operations, and marine systems.

Experience with ship surveys (new building and/or ships in service), inspections, tests, and certification processes.

Knowledge of ship machinery and engineering systems.

Good computer/software skills relevant to technical inspection and reporting.

Ability to work in technical teams and multidisciplinary projects.
