RINA is currently recruiting for a Composite Design Engineer to join its office in Roma within the Aerospace & Defence Division.
Mission:
RINA is looking for a Composite Design Engineer to join our team supporting a major defence project in Rome, with the possibility of partial remote work. The selected candidate will contribute to the design and development of composite components and related tooling for advanced defence systems.
Activities:
We are seeking an experienced engineer to support the development of composite parts and lamination tooling, from concept to production, ensuring compliance with military and industrial standards.
Main responsibilities:
- Design composite components and define plybooks using Fibersim and NX CAD.
- Design moulds and lamination tools for autoclave manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with MIL and IEC standards throughout the design process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in design reviews.
- Manage product data and documentation using Teamcenter PLM.
- Support manufacturability assessments and contribute to process optimization.
Expertise
- Minimum 3 years of experience in composite design, preferably in the defence sector.
- Proficient in NX CAD, Teamcenter, and Fibersim.
- Solid understanding of autoclave processes and composite layup techniques.
- Familiarity with MIL and IEC standards.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Education
- Master’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
