RINA is currently recruiting for a Intern - Rail & Transit to join its office in Chicago, IL within the North America Infrastructure & Mobility Division.

Compensation Data

Hourly Wage Range: $22 - $25

Mission

Through mentoring and coaching, the Intern will learn the professional aspects and business of Rail & Transit projects and the application of engineering fundamentals. The Intern will work with other engineers on Rail & Transit projects and gather information for planning and design.

Key Accountabilities

Under the supervision of a licensed engineer, assist with the preparation of rail and transit design plans and drafting
Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation and preparing various components of plans
Assist with field data collection
Assist with field inspection and assessments
Provide support in developing and evaluating alternatives and technical writing of reports
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Pursuing an undergraduate engineering degree in Civil, Transportation, Structural, or related discipline
Previous internship or related experience is a plus
Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team-oriented environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Additional Requirements

Travel to client sites may be required based upon business need
