RINA is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Administrator to join its office in Chicago, IL or Houston, TX within the Global Human Resources Division.
Compensation Data
Compensation Range: $55,000 - $65,000 + overtime
Mission
The HR Administrator will provide administrative support across a range of HR activities, including employee-record maintenance and general operations. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can multi-task while working effectively in a dynamic environment. It is an ideal position for someone looking to build a foundation in Human Resources and grow within the field.
Key Accountabilities
HR Administration:
• Maintain accurate and up to date employee records in the HRIS system.
• Run and maintain standard HR reports; assist with compiling data for audits, compliance, and leadership requests.
• Respond to routine employee inquiries or direct them to an appropriate HR team member.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Employee Relations:
• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
• Support resolution of employee concerns, escalating more complex issues to senior HR staff as needed.
Performance Management:
• Support the performance review process, including tracking and documenting performance evaluations.
Benefits Administration:
• Provide support during open enrollment
HR Projects and Initiatives:
• Participate in cross-functional HR projects focused on process improvement and employee engagement.
• Collaborate with HR team members to support key initiatives and administrative tasks.
• Provide general administrative support for ongoing HR efforts and special projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or related role.
- Basic knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using an HRIS System, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
