RINA is currently recruiting for a Closeout Manager to join its office in Chicago, IL within the North America Infrastructure & Mobility Division.

Compensation Data

Salary Range: $125,000 - $155,000

Mission

The Closeout Manager is responsible for leading and managing the closeout process for a large construction project. The Closeout Manager will be engaged during the entire life cycle of the project. This role is critical in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of all project documentation, completion of final inspections, coordination with stakeholders, and turnover of the project to clients. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a solid understanding of construction processes, and a meticulous approach to documentation and compliance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the project closeout process from pre-closeout planning through final handoff.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, designers, and clients to ensure all required closeout documentation is collected, complete, and delivered.
  • Coordinate and track punch lists, warranties, as-builts, O&M manuals, test and inspection records, and other closeout deliverables.
  • Facilitate final inspections, including coordination with local authorities for certificate of occupancy or completion.
  • Monitor project milestones to align closeout activities with the overall project schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with contract specifications and client requirements.
  • Resolve outstanding issues or deficiencies related to closeout items.
  • Maintain project files in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Assist in lessons learned sessions and contribute to process improvement for future projects.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, closeout coordination, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with construction codes, inspection procedures, and closeout requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC, or similar).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

 

Additional Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Flexibility to travel to project sites as needed
