RINA is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager Renewable Energy to join its office in Cairo within the Power Division.

Mission

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our global energy team in the Egypt.
You will lead the delivery of renewables projects for clients in the Egypt, Middle East and worldwide, ensuring they appropriately resourced, delivered on time and budget as well as supporting our client to increase the project value whilst reducing the risks. This would include coordination of internal technical team and external resource where applicable, deliverable reviews and origination (where applicable) and acceptance, budget and time adherence, client liaison and internal reporting. The role may also involve preparation of bids for new work and participation on other advisory projects as need be.

Key Accountabilities

1. Project Management:

  • Guide and manage Renewable projects from inception to completion, ensuring all project milestones are met.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, Client Stakeholders external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.

2. Owner’s Engineering:

  • Provide technical oversight and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure engineering designs, specifications, and drawings are reviewed and approved.
  • Manage site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project viability.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and best practices.

3. Technical Support:

  • Support preparation of technical specifications and tender documents for procurement of equipment and services.
  • Evaluate bids and proposals from contractors and suppliers.
  • Provide technical assistance during construction, commissioning, and operational phases.

4. Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, regulatory authorities, and local communities.
  • Represent the company in technical discussions and negotiations.
  • Ensure transparent and timely communication with all project stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering
Master’s Degree in Renewable Engineering

Qualifications

 - 10+ years of experience in an engineering or technical role within a project setting, ideally with exposure to cross-functional teamwork. In alternative 5 years of experience in associate project management role. - Professional project management certifications are highly desirable (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or similar). A certification in Agile (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) can also be beneficial.
- 5+ years of Site-based experience in an engineering or managerial role on a utility-scale generation project (Renewable Generation including Wind, Solar, Energy Storage, Biofuels, and other Renewable Technologies
- Advanced skills in manage schedules, resources, and budgets effectively.
- In-depth understanding of project lifecycle management, including requirements gathering, risk management, quality control, and change management.
- Good understanding of the specific industry’s standards, practices, and regulatory requirements (e.g., IT, construction, engineering, or other relevant sectors).
- Proficiency with contracts, client management, and vendor relations.
