RINA is currently recruiting for a Egypt Projects Offshore Structure Engineer to join its office in Cairo within the Energy Project Solutions Division.
Mission
The Offshore Structures Engineer is responsible for providing technical engineering services, including certification and consultancy activities related to offshore structures within the energy sector.
Key Accountabilities
1. Technical Engineering Activities:
- Design, verify, and certify new or existing offshore structures (e.g., fixed offshore platforms).
- Review and approve documentation for special sea transports, offshore lifting, and general marine operations.
2. Structural Analysis:
- Conduct structural analyses using dedicated FEM software (e.g., SACS), adhering to current codes and standards for offshore design and marine operations.
- Verify compliance of engineering documents with project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
3. Design and Engineering Consulting:
- Participate in feasibility studies, basic design, and FEED relevant to offshore structures projects.
- Collaborate with other specialists and subcontractors on design activities.
4. Project Support and Reporting:
- Support project teams and assist with technical problem-solving during projects.
- Report and summarize assigned projects to senior engineers and principal engineers.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical-commercial proposals.
5. Documentation and Standards:
- Assist in the creation of technical papers, rules, and guidelines.
- Ensure documentation meets quality and regulatory standards.
Education
Qualifications
- Relevant experience (1-3 years) in offshore Structure engineering, including design and analysis.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for offshore Structure design and construction.
- Proficiency in using software tools for structural design and installation analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform complex calculations and simulations related to offshore Structure design.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with clients, project teams, and subcontractors.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is preferred.
- Ongoing commitment to professional development and learning.
