Welding & NDT Technical Support Engineer – Nuclear Components

Location: Cadarache (France), with possible missions at suppliers’ premises
Contract Duration: medium-term

Project Overview

The selected candidate will provide technical support in Welding and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities for nuclear components, working closely with the project team in Cadarache, France.

Role Summary

The profile will support the Technical Responsible Officers (TROs) in quality assurance and supervision activities related to welding and non-destructive testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Review technical documentation related to:

  • Welding procedures
  • NDT documentation
  • WPS, WPQR, Welding Maps, ITP, etc.

• Support the evaluation of:

  • Feasibility of welding designs
  • Design changes or non-conformities (NCR)

• Perform activities such as:

  • Follow-up and witnessing of critical operations (welding and NDT)
  • Qualification of procedures and inspections (UT, etc.)

• Prepare and issue reports, including:

  • Mission reports
  • Monthly welding/NDT reports
  • Site observation reports in case of non-conformities

Minimum Requirements

• International Welding Engineer (IWE), or International Welding Technologist (IWT) with strong experience
• Proven experience in NDT inspections, with knowledge of UT, RT, PT, and VT
• Experience in the manufacturing of pressure vessels
• Familiarity with EN 13445
• Experience in welding qualifications (WPS, WPQR)
