Hull Technical Manager

RINA is currently recruiting, for an international project: Hull Technical Manager (FPSO Background)

• Location:  Busan, KOREA
• Rotation: 90/15
• Working hours: 8 x 5
• Contract duration: 12 months renewable
• Availability: ASAP

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Coordinate execution of multidisciplinary engineering activities, and also manage activities assigned to external design company, supervising design and progress relevant stability, hydrostatic hydrodynamics, hull, mooring, installation engineering, Dynamic Positioning System and Marine systems.

• Interface with other engineering specialists.

• Ensure design in line with Class requirements.

• Ensure effective interdisciplinary coordination verifying adequacy and consistency of design solutions.

• Take necessary technical decisions in case of unresolved conflicts between disciplines, ensuring that the engineering team. • Properly interfaces with other project team members.

• Ensure that adopted technical solutions are in line with project cost and time schedule objectives, taking appropriate action to avoid, absorb or minimize deviations.

• Promote multidisciplinary design review relevant safety, 3D model and others, supervising the follow-up of the outcomes

• Ensure freezing of project engineering documents and engineering close out in accordance with project schedule

• Ensure carrying out of all engineering activities that support material/fabrication procurement process services Area of Expertise:

• Naval engineering

• Marine systems engineering

• FPSO design Work Experience and Skills:

• Good knowledge of hull system engineering and naval structural engineering .

• Minimum 5 years of experience

• Fluency in English

• Good analytical capacity, good communication skills, flexibility, problem solving oriented, ability in taking decision, good management of time and priorities.
