RINA is currently recruiting for a Romania Industrial Inspections Lead Auditor to join its office in Bucharest within the Certification Europe Region Division.

Mission

 

We are seeking a qualified Industrial Inspections Lead Auditor with specialized expertise in Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). The ideal candidate will oversee and conduct inspections, audits, and assessments in industrial settings, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, particularly focusing on pressure equipment safety and PED requirements.

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Lead and participate in inspections and audits of industrial facilities to assess compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and PED requirements.
  • Provide specialized expertise in the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), ensuring that all pressure equipment meets PED requirements and standards during inspections and audits.
  • Stay updated on relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to industrial inspections and pressure equipment safety and ensure that inspections and audits align with legal requirements and industry best practices.
  • Perform comprehensive risk assessments of pressure equipment and industrial processes, identify potential hazards, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, audit findings, and compliance/non-compliance documentation, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders and management.
  • Provide training and support to inspection teams and personnel on PED requirements, inspection techniques, and safety protocols to enhance competence and ensure consistent adherence to standards.
  • Interface with clients, regulatory authorities, and other external stakeholders to address inquiries, provide clarification on inspection findings, and maintain positive relationships.
  • Ensure the quality and reliability of inspection activities by implementing quality assurance measures, conducting internal audits, and addressing any deviations or non-conformities promptly.
  • Monitor ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and recommend corrective actions or process improvements as needed to maintain compliance and enhance safety standards.
  • Identify and address issues or challenges encountered during inspections or audits, make informed decisions, and implement solutions to resolve issues effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection activities, findings, corrective actions, and compliance documentation, ensuring proper documentation storage and retrieval for future reference and audits.

What are we looking for

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001), Certified Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) Inspector, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in industrial inspections, auditing, or quality assurance, with a focus on pressure equipment safety and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) regulations and relevant industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, EN).
  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.
  • Advanced knowledge of English.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and identify compliance issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead inspection teams and engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in documentation and report writing, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Willing to travel to various industrial sites as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Driver's license.
