RINA is currently recruiting for a Material & Corrosion Engineer (Ingegnere Meccanico / Chimico Jr) to join its office in AUGUSTA (Siracusa) within the Energy Engineering Solutions Division.

Mission

This role focuses on providing support to Asset Integrity Management Team through a deep analysis of all potential damage mechanisms which may affect metallic equipment and piping, with a good knowledge of the International Standards and Procedures as API, NACE, DNV, etc

Experience and Requirements

  • Ability to read technical documentation, such as P&IDs/PFDs/MSDs;
  • Knowledge of Corrosion Phenomena and Damage Mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of corrosion and degradation mechanisms affecting upstream and refining industry (API 571 certification will be considered as plus).
  • Knowledge of API-580/581 principles (API 580 certifications will be considered as plus)
  • Basic knowledge of integrity management methodologies (including Risk-Based Inspection, Pipeline Integrity Management, Fitness for Service, etc.) and experience in their application.
  • MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • Availability to travel to offices and operation Site.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering
