RINA is currently recruiting for a Senior I&C Engineer to join its office in Dubai within the Plant Engineering Division.

Mission

The Senior I&C Engineer leads the design and development of instrumentation and control systems for energy generation facilities. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, they ensure I&C systems meet complex project requirements and comply with industry standards. They oversee the installation and commissioning of I&C systems, ensuring accurate implementation of sensors, actuators, control valves, PLCs, SCADA, and DCS systems. They conduct comprehensive system testing, troubleshooting, and optimization to achieve optimal performance and reliability.

Key Accountabilities

System Design and Development:
 - Lead the design and development of instrumentation and control systems for energy generation facilities.
 - Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure I&C systems meet complex project requirements and comply with industry standards.
Installation and Commissioning:
 - Oversee the installation and commissioning of I&C systems, ensuring accurate implementation of sensors, actuators, control valves, PLCs, SCADA, and DCS systems.
 - Conduct comprehensive system testing, troubleshooting, and optimization to achieve optimal performance and reliability.
Maintenance and Support:
 - Provide advanced maintenance, support, and upgrades for existing I&C systems.
 - Lead the response to emergencies and implement corrective actions to resolve issues promptly and minimize downtime.
Safety and Compliance:
 - Ensure I&C systems adhere to stringent safety standards and regulatory requirements.
 - Lead safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards and compliance gaps.
Documentation and Reporting:
 - Produce detailed technical documentation, including system specifications, drawings, manuals, and operating procedures.
 - Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of system configurations, maintenance activities, and performance metrics.
 - Provide regular progress reports and updates to stakeholders and management.
Continuous Improvement:
 - Identify and lead initiatives for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement within I&C systems.
 - Evaluate and recommend innovative solutions and best practices based on emerging technologies and industry trends.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Master’s Degree in Electronics

Qualifications

 - 8+ years of experience in I&C engineering or related roles in designing, implementing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems in the energy sector, with demonstrated proficiency in complex project leadership and technical problem-solving.
 - Proficient in PLCs, SCADA, DCS systems, and relevant software tools.
 - Advanced knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Python), control system software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink), and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC).
 - Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams, manage stakeholders, and drive organizational change.
 - Proven track record of ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence in high-stakes environments.
